Meet Ellie

Full name: Elizabeth Deschenes
Born Dec 14 1988 in Laval, Qc

From the moment I could hold a pen, or anything else to leave a mark on paper or walls, I’ve had a passion for art. Growing up, I loved anything that had to do with creating, from building phones with legos at home, to making sculptures out of clay in school, but drawing has always been my favourite medium to work with.

It wasn’t until I left Cegep and had a friend ask me to design a tattoo for her that I turned to tattoos. I got an apprenticeship back in Sept 2009 while still living in Montreal.

Since I’ve started working on skin, I’ve played around with a few different styles, ranging from black and grey pieces, to watercolour to full colour work. I have always been a perfectionist when drawing lines, which transpires in my tattoo work as well, although I don’t mind playing around with more sketchy, messy and abstract designs. 

I do a lot of floral, delicate and feminine designs, but also loves doing darker, weirder pieces with a bit of a Salvador Dali flare to them or anything with nature and skulls combined.
